Esthetic Loft Team Member Spotlight!
How much do you know about our Esthetician/Lash Artist Alexis!? She has one of the most fascinating stories! Here is a little snippet of her story on following her passion!
Stepping out on faith and following your dreams, This is my story. I worked a federal job for 5yrs with great pay, benefits and a 401k but after 2yrs of being there I was miserable. I worked long hours and was terribly tired from doing something I didn't/couldn't see myself doing for the rest of my life. I've always had a passion to be in the beauty industry but with the job schedule I had, I was unable to go to school to get started. I always asked God to guide me to get where I wanted to be. I believe He was telling me to move forward, but because of my pay I was scared of loosing that security. It took me 3 more years to finally move my feet and follow my dreams. I stepped out on faith and quit my FEDERAL job of 5yrs! Honestly when I quit I felt so relieved and free. I took about 3 months off and started another job where I was able to start school to pursue my career. I worked full time and went to school full time as well. It wasn't easy but I was determined to complete what I started. Now I am in my dream career of being a licensed Esthetician and I couldn't be happier! I love my job and work family. It's never too late to step out on faith and follow your dreams. You won't regret it!
